Starlite Resort - Saugatuck

The rooms are clean and well-maintained.

The owner was creepy. My grandson was approached rudely for having a nerf football, unnecessary and intimidating. The confrontational manner in which my daughter was addressed about a minor rule violation was completely unacceptable.

The staff is attentive and experienced.

Comfy location, the free parking was available. It was across the very nice area. The room was a nice size and tastefully decorated and offered with continental breakfast and a really comfortable bed and the best showers.

The truth, what's good and what's not

The pool area is excellent, with a hot tub and comfy loungers. Rooms are updated and immaculate, with daily housekeeping ensuring a pleasant environment for relaxation.

Check-in was chaotic. Communication with staff was challenging. Breakfast options were limited and closed earlier than expected, leaving little flexibility.

The hotel felt secluded with lovely grounds. The room featured thoughtful touches, and I appreciated the cleanliness. A minor issue with the breakfast timing, but overall, a good experience.

Nostalgic decor, a pool area with oversized games like Jenga and Connect 4, cozy yard space with hammocks and a fire pit. Rooms feature retro furniture with a 50's/60's vibe, vacation atmosphere.

The room's cleaning products were overpowering at first. Soundproofing between rooms left something to be desired. Normal conversations from neighbors were too easily heard. A solitary chair in the room was frustrating, especially when the jacuzzi took up much of the space intended for other furniture.

The property was fairly clean with welcoming and courteous staff.

We loved the well-maintained pool and the fire pits were perfect for evening hangouts. The outdoor games added fun to our stay, and the peaceful grounds.
